The journey to having a bespoke piece made is an incredibly enjoyable one, from seeing the design in your head being put down on paper or being created in the latest design software to choosing what diamond or gemstone you want. At every stage of the journey, I will be with you to offer advice and guidance so that you get your perfect piece of jewellery.
When you have a bespoke piece made for that special someone, whether it is an engagement ring, anniversary or birthday present it just adds that personal touch that makes it even more precious.

Our Bespoke Jewellery Journey
Step 1: The first meeting
Our first meeting is the most important step in working towards creating your perfect bespoke piece. During our first meeting we will get to know each other and talk a little about the story behind the piece as it is this story that takes it from being a piece of jewellery to being a piece of jewellery that means so much more to someone. I always find it is best to talk about your budget before we get to the creative part as it helps me to give you the best advice on the path we should take.
Then we get to the creative part, we will discuss any design ideas and then start working towards creating a visual image of the design that you have in your head. We will also talk about, metals, gemstones and diamonds and I will offer advice or answer any questions that you may have. By the end of our first meeting we should have a good idea as to what the design should be and what stones you would like and that takes us to step two on the journey.
Step 2: Choosing the Diamond or Gemstone and finalise the design
This is nearly my favourite step of the process. Following on from our first meeting, I will source a selection of diamonds or gemstones and we will talk about the stones so that you can make an informed decision about which one you would like to use in your bespoke jewellery. A lot of clients really enjoy this stage as it makes them feel even more involved in the process.
After you have chosen your stone, we will then revisit the design and it is at this point you can make any changes you would like. Once you are happy with the final design and your stone choice, we can then move on to having your piece made. It is at this stage that we do take a 50% non-refundable deposit. As the piece is bespoke, there will be a two to four week timeframe for the piece to be made but I will keep you up to date with progress and that leads us nicely to step three.
Stage 3: The reveal
I know that the wait will feel like an eternity but it will be worth it in the end. I take great pride in each piece that we make and before I reveal it to you, I personally inspect the quality of the manufacturing and final finish to make sure that I would be happy with the piece myself. Once I have given it the Haywood seal of approval, I will be in touch to say that it is ready and we can book a time for you to come and collect it. This is the most nerve wracking and enjoyable time for me as I love to see my clients reactions when they open the box for the first time and when I see the look of amazement and a big grin on your face, I know I have got it right.
